BLACK WASP ROUND 2 @ WRATH SERVER

MORE FUN, MORE EXCITEMENT, MORE ACTION and MORE CHAOTIC! I'm lovin' it...

Congratulations to all the gamers of Wrath Server who have participated in the recently concluded BW event. They successfully defeated the Black Wasp Team. (Hooray!) They did not gave up on protecting GM Amethy despite the fact that all of the members of BW are so strong to the extent that they can wipe you all in just one hit T_T (luckily, there were only few of them who participated yesterday... 3 I guess) Being true to themselves, made us realize that they were brave enough to face and conquer all the challenges/obstacles that was given to them.

Typical day as a GM

Many of you might ask, what is exactly the role of a GM (game master). So I thought it might be interesting to give you a quick background of whats it like working in a gaming company.
To start with, a GM is responsible to all the needs/concerns of the gamers. They make sure that everything is in place, just like what we do in our forums. We see to it that as much as possible, we can give enough time to communicate with you (gamers) and hear your voices. A GM must also have a lot of patience...hehe! why? because many gamers are cursing and punking US. But, yeah, we have to understand your situation. The reason why we're here is to listen and help. We have to maintain a positive disposition. So I suggest that we must respect each other in order for us to solve the problems in the easiest way. On the other hand, we are also in-charge for the maintenance of each server that you're playing. We make sure that all of them are running smoothly so you can enjoy your gaming experience throughout the day. ^_^ So as you can see, that's basically our daily routine.

As much as I want to share our world as a GM, we're not allowed to divulge certain aspects of what we are doing. It's for self protection purposes. (I hope you understand T_T)

As I finish this post, many of my co-employees are playing online games. Wehehe! What's the use of working in a gaming company if we don't play? ^_^

Hardcore gamer or Casual gamer?

Most of my friends who where lined as a hardcore gamers considered me only as a casual gamer, while the casual gamers I've met considered me as a hardcore gamer. So the question now boiled down to WHAT AM I? And WHERE DO I BELONG?

Way back when I was still in college, I used to play online games all the time. And when I say "all the time", I mean it literally. As in everyday. Why? Because I had all the time to play them fully without thinking of anything, except for my studies. But unfortunately all of this changes from the moment I left the academic environment and start on job hunting, until I found the perfect job that suits for me which is obviously a GM. ^_^ I basically stopped playing online games for like a couple of months already.

I would probably say that I might fall somewhere in between casual and hardcore. I honestly don't know what term will I use for this one... a MID-CORE I guess??? I think this will be the best or would I say 'accurate' term for myself as a gamer. ^_^ So there, I'm a MID-CORE gamer.

In my own opinion hardcore games are those which require you to devote a huge amount of time in order for you to enjoy the very best of the game you played. Unlike in casual games, this can be generally played without focusing too much to level-up. Moreover, this kind of games can be played in just short periods of time and you can set aside to play it later without thinking of being left behind or putting you to disadvantage. Ayt? ^__^

Why I wanted to be a GAME MASTER?

Well for me the main reason why I wanted to work as a game master is because this is what I dreamt/dreamed of ever since I started playing online games from year 2006. Basically the first online game that I played is actually RAN ONLINE. My college friend was the one who introduced me to the online gaming world. I was hooked since the day I started playing and I really enjoyed every single moment of it. This is somewhat like my own way in releasing stress. A place where I find pleasure and happiness. (Or what we so called Felicity...) I tend to forget all the problems that I'm dealing with. From the environment of the game up to the gamers I interacted with, there's that feeling this is really what I wanted. This is where I supposedly belong. I gained a lot of friends. And most of them were very true to themselves;
they're straightforward and don't want to keep on pretending the real thing. That's what I liked most on the online gaming scene. It's like my own sanctuary and my second life. Thus, I gained enough confidence to work as a game master here in IP e-Games. And I'm glad I did it! As of the moment I am enjoying my job every single day. I hope it will continue for the next 5 years. Wehehe! ^_^

All about Medea...

Who is Medea?
Medea was a devotee of the goddess Hecate, and one of the great sorceresses of the ancient world. She was the daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, and the granddaughter of Helios, the sun god.

Where did I get the name Medea?
Well obviously I got this name in the Greek mythology book.

Why did I choose Medea?
To be perfectly honest, I have no idea... T_T But then again since Medea is a skilled sorceress, it eventually relates to the world of online gaming, where most of the characters deals with magic...hehe [don't you notice it?]...
